dela hoya vs. maywheather
the world awaits...

... no more. and so the big event unfolds today, 05.06.07 in MGM Grand Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada. with so much depth in both's arsenal, this highly-anticipated fight's promise really quenched everyone's anticipation. i personally think it would be a great fight, and indeed after having saw it, it was a fight to go down the pages of history as one of the boxing arena's greats. with pretty boy's angst and golden boy's reputation, the huge crowd roars as every power punch is exchanged. at the end of the day, the world awaits for the final decision as they go down to the scorecards with a split decision...

making FLOYD MAYWEATHER the new SUPER WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD (WBC) and the reigning WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD (WBC)

*omg. i just lost my bet on this. personally, i don't think dela hoya lost that match. the whole time, he was the one who threw & hit more punches, he dominated every round. he glides swiftly in the canvas leaving mayweather just another pretty boy in the ring with nothing.
